Materials Industry of China (ITIBMIC)

　　Institute of Technical Information for Building Materials Industry of China (ITIBMIC) is research and consultative agency under State of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) , and China Building Materials Industry Assciaotion, specializing in information of science technology, economy and trade for building materials industry in China .
　　ITIBMIC consists of a series of special information research departments, such as Cement, Glass,Ceramics, New Building Materials, Non-metallic Centre, Networks Developing Centre, and Editorial Departments of Cement and Building Materials Industry Information, as well as technology service entities as Beijing Wasin Hi-tech Co. and Huameng Chemical Building Materials Co.. ITIBMIC is equipped with modern information technologies and facilities. Meanwhile, it is the organizer of eight national specialized information networks in building materials industry, whose members are distributed all over China , and ITIBMIC owns a printing house, which is equipped with laser photo-offset printing system, etc...There are about 160 staff members with senior,medium and junior professional titles in the institute,including technical personnel of most specialties in building materials industry and specialists of mechanical engineering, automation, computer, management, etc., interpreters of different foreign languages covering English, Japanese, German, Russian, Spanish, Korean, and Italian, etc., and editors and some other information theoretical research staffs.The current President is Mr. Wang Zheng.

　　Since its establishment in 1958, ITIBMIC has published about 1000 reports on varities of topics, such as macroeconomic operation of building materials industry, market dynamic analysis, business behavior, product, technology and equipment investigation, accomplished more than 1000 research projects on soft science and developed various computer databases. Some of these achievements were awarded by the government. ITIBMIC provides dozens of research reports and information to administrative authorities on building materials industry each year. 　　To provide diversified consultation services, such as professional technology, economic and trade intelligence, also the development of new products and new technologies, market survey, enterprise technological renovation and feasibility study,intermediary, scientific and technical document apprisal, translation, duplicating, video and documentary film making for the whole industy;

　　To hold varied technical markets, exhibition, and different forms of technical and business training classes and to act as an agent for international companies, organizations, and associations which are related to building materials industry in China, and to organize large-scale international exhibition for building materials industry.

　　Professional Periodicals

　　ITIBMIC edits and publishes 9 periodicals, including Cement, Brick&Tile World, Architectural and Industrial Glass, Development and Application of Nonmetallic Minerals, Reference to Fibre Reinforced Plastics/Composites, Beton, ZKG China,etc. Among them, Cement, which is a specialty technical periodical with the largest circulation in building materials industry of China , is selected as a key journal of China 's natural science.

　　Documentation Centre

　　Documentation centre is a library with the most collection of special books and journals in Chinese building materials industry. Up till now, it has collected more than 120 thousand publications in Chinese and foreign languages, and it subscirbes for about 500 domestic and foreign building materials periodicals. The centre has developed the database on the building materials literature in Chinese Language and the patent of Chinese building materials industry, so as to offer document apprisal services of latest science and technology achievements in building materials industry.
